juice cleanse

I decided this weekend to do a juice cleanse.  I've been looking into them for a while and researching different options and companies, trying to decide which one I wanted to do.  I have made a goal to loss 30 more pounds before my family goes to San Diego this summer.  To kick things off, and to try to loss the couple pounds I gained in Florida I decided to do the Suja juice cleanse.

I went to Whole Foods on my way home on Thursday and bought one day's worth of juice: six different bottles!  I only wanted to buy one day instead it turned out to be completely unpalatable and I ended up vomiting.

Surprisingly, they're all pretty good!  Kind of interesting and take some getting used to, but the only one I really don't like is the red one: Purify, and that's only because it's got beet juice in it and I HATE beets.  They're disgusting.  They taste like dirt.

My absolute favorite one is the Fuel.  It is seriously so good!  I could drink it every day.

My observations:

-Yes, I'm hungry, but I'm not starving and I'm able to deal with the hunger.  Also, by the time I start to feel hungry, it's almost time to have another juice.

-I have literally had to pee every hour.  Not joking.

-I had a headache Monday evening/Tuesday morning.  I ended up having to take a couple Excedrin to kick it.  Not sure why, since I'm drinking more than enough liquids to stay hydrated.  Must just be part of the cleansing/detoxification process?

-I feel great!  But I'm excited to eat breakfast in the morning!

So far, I've lost about 5 pounds.  I'm curious to see if they stay off once I start eating again tomorrow, or if I've flushed out the weight I was retaining and I'll now be able to kick start things again and move forward toward my 30 pound goal.  I'll keep you posted!  :)
