One of the places Kristy and I are seriously contemplating going for Spring Break 2015 is back to Paris!
Here is a list of things I want to do when I go back there (in no particular order)...
1. Eat a macaron
2. Stand at the top of the Eiffel Tower at night
3. Climb the stairs up to the top of Notre Dame Cathedral
4. Tour the Opera House
5. Buy a piece of art from one of the artists lining the Seine
6. Eat lunch by the river
7. Sit at a cafe and enjoy a leisurly meal (several hours)
8. Buy and eat a fresh baguette
9. Go back to Musee de l'Orangerie for the Water Lillies
10.Go back to the Louvre
11. Walk through Montmarte and visit the Sacre-Coeur Basilica
12. Do some shopping at Galeries Lafyette
This time I want to experience Paris!

cleansing and (re)committing
Alright folks, it's time to cleans and (re)commit!
After three weeks of being a lazy bum and not going to the gym...
After a week-long family trip to San Diego...
After cheating and being "mostly non-vegan" for the last month or so...
....I put on my one pair of work pants yesterday morning and they were WAY too tight!
Also, I didn't like what I saw when I stepped on the scale.
I don't want to undermine all the good work I've done this far in my health/weight loss journey!
So, I have recommitted myself to my vegan diet, recommitted to going back to the gym at least three days a week, and started a three day juice cleanse to reboot my system. I've also made the commitment (to Kristy and to myself) to be sugar free. That means no white sugar, brown sugar, or high fructose corn syrup. While Kristy was here over the weekend we decided we're going to go somewhere for Spring Break. The exact location is still up in the air, but we're going somewhere.
With that in mind, I have from now until March 15, 2015 to lose 46.6 pounds!! That's 6 pounds a month. That's doable, right? I know it's still kind of aggressive, but I feel it's still doable. So, that's my new goal: to be at my goal weight by 3/15/15. I can do hard things!!

very merry unbirthday
This year for my birthday I asked for two things:
1. Lemon Jell-o cake
2. A murder mystery dinner
Here are the results:
This lemon jell-o cake is Ah-Maz-Ing. Mom had been sick since coming back from our San Diego trip last week, but she made me this cake anyway. I love her!
Julia, Faith were put in charge of the murder mystery dinner and they did an AMAZING job!! The girls, mom, and I had a really fun time shopping for all the props, decorations, dishes, and our costumes. I told everyone that I didn't want any presents. I just wanted everyone to come, and spend whatever money they would have on a gift on their costumes for my Alice in Wonderland themed, tea party, murder mystery dinner.
Little did I know that there was a secret surprise in the works behind my back!
KRISTY CAME!! I had no idea until she showed up at my house on Friday night!! She was sneaky, sneak with Julia planning this whole thing. It was so fun to have my bestie here this weekend and able to participate in the party.
Saturday Kristy and I went and saw "Maleficent" and had lunch at Cheesecake Factory. Didn't like the movie. Loved the cheesecake. I need to go on a detox cleanse and recommit to my vegan lifestyle. I've been really bad the last couple months. But it's tasted so good...
When we got back home party decorating was in full swing! And everything turned out SO GREAT!! It was all so perfect! We borrowed two long baquet tables from a ward member and had everything running down the middle. We pulled in all different sizes and sorts of chairs for the table. I loved everything single inch!
Julia had a friend come over and paint her face as part of her costume as the Cheshire Cat. It was fantastic, but a little creepy...
Kristy was the March Hare.
Mom and Dad, of course, were the King and Queen of Hearts.
Faith and Josh = Alice and the Mad Hatter.
Steven was a good sport and played a double roll: Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dum. And he was great!
Kristen was the Red Queen.
Barbara dressed up as Dinah (Alice's cat) and John was supposed to be the Door Mouse, but he didn't want to wear his costume at all.
J.R. as the Caterpillar with his home-made dry ice hookah. It was awesome!
And Esther was the White Rabbit.
