I said a prayer last night for the first time in longer than I care to admit to. I haven't been the best recently at doing all the little things that I know I should, but I have made a renewed commitment to myself and my Heavenly Father to be better at reading my scriptures, praying every day, and making better choices. I spent some time on my knees, and shed some tears. This morning as I was driving to work, wondering what in the heck I was going to do about getting a new refrigerator, and bemoaning the fact that it was going to cost so much to replace, a thought came to me that this was actually an answer to my prayer. My fridge has been slowly dying over the last couple weeks which means the answer started coming before I even got down on my knees last night. It may sound silly to say that a dying fridge is an answer to a prayer, but it is. The details aren't important. What is important is the fact that Heavenly Father does answer prayers. They may not always be in the way we might expect, or hope, but if you're eyes, mind, and heart are open, you can see the silver lining in whatever storm clouds come your way.
