very merry unbirthday

This year for my birthday I asked for two things:

1. Lemon Jell-o cake

2. A murder mystery dinner

Here are the results:

This lemon jell-o cake is Ah-Maz-Ing.  Mom had been sick since coming back from our San Diego trip last week, but she made me this cake anyway.  I love her!

Julia, Faith were put in charge of the murder mystery dinner and they did an AMAZING job!!  The girls, mom, and I had a really fun time shopping for all the props, decorations, dishes, and our costumes.  I told everyone that I didn't want any presents.  I just wanted everyone to come, and spend whatever money they would have on a gift on their costumes for my Alice in Wonderland themed, tea party, murder mystery dinner.

Little did I know that there was a secret surprise in the works behind my back!

KRISTY CAME!!  I had no idea until she showed up at my house on Friday night!!  She was sneaky, sneak with Julia planning this whole thing.  It was so fun to have my bestie here this weekend and able to participate in the party.

Saturday Kristy and I went and saw "Maleficent" and had lunch at Cheesecake Factory.  Didn't like the movie.  Loved the cheesecake.  I need to go on a detox cleanse and recommit to my vegan lifestyle.  I've been really bad the last couple months.  But it's tasted so good...

When we got back home party decorating was in full swing!  And everything turned out SO GREAT!!  It was all so perfect!  We borrowed two long baquet tables from a ward member and had everything running down the middle.  We pulled in all different sizes and sorts of chairs for the table.  I loved everything single inch!

Julia had a friend come over and paint her face as part of her costume as the Cheshire Cat.  It was fantastic, but a little creepy...

My awesome head dress as The Duchess.

And the food!  So good!

Kristy was the March Hare.

Mom and Dad, of course, were the King and Queen of Hearts.

Faith and Josh = Alice and the Mad Hatter.

Steven was a good sport and played a double roll: Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dum.  And he was great!

Kristen was the Red Queen.

Barbara dressed up as Dinah (Alice's cat) and John was supposed to be the Door Mouse, but he didn't want to wear his costume at all.

J.R. as the Caterpillar with his home-made dry ice hookah.  It was awesome!

And Esther was the White Rabbit.

Everyone had a good time and they were all good sports about coming and doing this for my birthday.  Mom told me next year I need to go on a trip because this was too much work!
