This is a picture of a sampler I bought a few years ago. Right now it is sitting in my laundry room in storage because I don't have the perfect place to hang it. As soon as I saw it at an antique store I went to I knew I had to buy it. It's not technically an antique (just made to look like one) the sentiment stitched on the fabric is no less true.
One of the talents I have that I am thankful for, is my ability to sew. This talent was taught to me by my mother. Although I know how to (and can do it if an emergency arises) I don't like to use the sewing machine. I prefer to hand sew. Quilting and cross-stitching are my favorite and something I enjoy doing. They help me to relax and I enjoy seeing the beautiful finished product once I'm done. It's an awesome thing to see this work of art that I've created with my own hands.
